Anyone out there remember a childrens programme called Time-slip? I only remember two series; one set in the past (I think it was reached via a gap in the fence around an old army base) and the second set in the future where Britain had become a tropical country due to,I think, global warming? Though I am very sketchy on detail I remember loving the series. I think it was the prime reason I subscribed to having Look-In magazine delivered. Also; there was a programme about a lad & a girl who had dreams about a house surrounded by rocks that were apparently alive. The two hadn`t met each other but were united every time they slept and experienced this nightmare. Does anyone remember this? |

I got the full run a couple of years ago and reviewed it for the clubzine. It's of particular interest for Tomorrow People fans. |

I remember Time-Slip, made in the early 70s, and quite an intelligent fantasy show it was too. Been ages since Ive seen it though.
Have no idea what the other show is though..sounds like something I would have liked!! |

There is a time and place for reticence so speak up because it`s here and now! Seriously, anything you could add or give pointers to would be most welcome. It`s like giving directions to someone who is lost in their old neighbourhood or describing colours to someone who lost their sight. Okay; it`s not THAT important or meaningful but it would still be generous of you to avail us of the information that you have; such as where can we see it and do you know anything about the other series mentioned??? |

OK, the (THE) site for Timeslip is www.timeslip.org.uk/. The run I've got is from a video shop, just lucky they had the tapes. One member of the club happened to have a colour clip of The Time of the Ice Box, very rare as while some of the series was made in B&W, the colour tapes were damaged or destroyed so only odd pieces survive. Beyond the website, the series itself and the knowledge that Ruth Boswell's next gig was The Tomorrow People, I've got the Australian screening dates. I'm starting a thread on mysterious television, to see if that draws any more hits on the mystery show. |
