In short--no.

We were told in January they had a date for it planned, but there's still no sign of it.

To summarise what we've heard (not from the general responce people, but the programmers);

It will be in the same slot (Saturday 19.30),

It will be "later" in 2006,

It won't be until after June,

It will not be July 8 or August 5,

The schedule is "fluid".

Add this;

The ABC Shop had its release of the first series 2 DVDs down for "June",

Rocket Man should finish in the Who slot on July 1st.

And;

A segment has been filmed on Doctor Who for broadcast on August 4.

Adding this all together still says July 8 to me, even though they've said it won't be, either that or on a Saturday soon after, or even a different slot--we've seen how nervous they are in rescheduling Answered by Fire this week.

We've had a commitment to be told four weeks prior to the premiere. So it's coming.

No, they have no interest in anything other than series two and The Christmas Invasion. ABC2 is prohibited from presenting drama. Children in Need has rights issues. ABC's not interactive so there's no red button. Your  friendly neighbourhood fan club comes to the rescue again!

You're probably right, unfortunatly the first time I expect to be able to confirm anything won't be for another month.

I've had pretty good relations with ABC for the last three years, it's as if something's spoked them lately. Mark Scott as new managing director? Naaah...
