(starts crying)

ok, City of Death, as thats one story I could see many times over.  As a story, An Unearthly Child wasnt as involving.

Same with Earthshock.

Ok, Frontier in Space, not so controversial. See you, Jimmy! Unearthly Child...hmm, one absolutly fascinating episode, three so-so ones, City of Death it is!

This's gonna hurt...

Genesis of the Daleks vs Logopolis.

Pyramids of Mars vs Spearhead from Space.

Poor old Logopolis! I feel much the same about Pyamids and Spearhead, and they're both in Jimmy's list.

OK. I'll give it to Pyramids on the flimsiest of pretexts; the playmobile forest shot prior to the Tardis materialising in Spearhead. Fine sorted. Sigh.

Terror of the Autons vs The Ark in Space.

The Caves of Androzani vs The Daleks' Master Plan.

hmm another hard one.

Sorry, this is another tie, as I like both Terror and Ark in Space for very different reasons.

But I can choose Caves for sure.  One of the few JNT era stories that could be considered a classic

I'll cheerfully gun down Terror in this contest--while I prefer it to Spearhead (!) it's flawed though the change in characterisation of the Auton/Nestene Intelligence, the ease at which the Master is convinced to change sides by the Doctor, and baecuase I don't like black plastic chairs which eat people.

I feel I've been carrying Daleks' Master Plan through this contest as you've been striking it down, I give up on it!

The Deadly Assassin vs The Five Doctors.

The Invasion vs The Leisure Hive.

ooo now this is very hard!!!

I really like The Five Doctors, a very entertaining story.

But then again Deadly Assassin is one of the classics.

I'll go for Assassin, just because it dared to be different.

And I'll go for Leisure Hive, because I havent seen The Invasion at all, so I can't know if its a genuine classic.

I agree whole heartedly; anniversary reunion shows are innately naff in concept, and while they work on an emotional level the more they cram in the more naff they become. Five Doctors suffers from this!

You haven’t seen The Invasion? You mean the missing two episodes, as you posted in the conspiracies thread that you bought the deceptive VHS release?

OK, not much to go now...

The Masque of Mandragora vs The Pirate Planet.

The Sea Devils vs The Talons of Weng-Chiang.

Yes, I havent seen The Invasion at all, I know Im missing out!!!

I'll go for Masque, because Ive seen that story more often and always enjoy it.  Pirate Planet is great though.

To choose between Sea Devils and Talons is way too hard - maybe Talons by a wisker.

Again, hard, but out of all of them, I'll go for Web of Fear, even though Ive only seen the 1 surviving episode of that.

That story looked like being one of the all time classics.
