What is it when you watch a Shows first episode or the first episode of a new season that is so gripping. It must be this time of year when all the show are starting up with new episodes that just peaks a little bit of interest in me.

Then there is the new show inwhich I've only read about that seem to be of interest. The expectation is a thrill. We all have it especially while we are waiting until the New Who.

Even with todays technollogy when you download new shows straight from overseas, the first time you see it on television is different.

what do you all think?

Well, I certainly enjoy watching the 'first' of anything to do with Dr Who...........cos it always takes me back in time to when I was a kid.

Dunno why people get so hooked on other TV shows, maybe they like them as much as I like Dr Who, I suppose.

What about opening nights for "Star Wars" and other big ticket classics........we all know they'll be out for a few months, but we still line up in droves for the opening night. I think it's because we associate a premiere with something special, like a fist date for example........we get all excited and hot about it (so to speak!!!!) and then we watch it progressivley less until the 'thrill is gone' and we wait for the next self gratifying stimulus.

Don't mind me, I've been reading too many first year Psychology textbooks!!!!!!

No, Bruce, I'm actually going to attempt to condition the sheila's at St Peter's Girls (blessed are them all) to go 'dum - de dum, dum - de dum, dum - de dum, ooh eee ooh' whenever I say the words 'Burma' or 'penguin'.
