Subject:  Doctor Who Magazines (I'm a material being and I want to expand my collection!!)

06/10/2005 14:36 GMT

As I'm a self conscious materialst, I must confess that I like to part with the value of my labour by using it to get things that make my life more enjoyable. In this case, I like to escape reality and read Dr Who magazine...........

What I'm trying to say here is that if anyone who reads this has any copies of the Marvel/Pannini Doctor Who magazines from 1998 to 2004 and would like to part with them for a realistic cost, I'm interested in doing some business.

Please leave a message if you can help.

I've got some from 1999(?) to 2004, but I've lent them out...

Reminds me of when I went to the Port book excahnge and found a huge run of DWM. When I returned the folowing day they were all gone.

Then the book seller twisted the knife the next time I came in--"Are you the guy who bought all those magazines?"

Have been a Dr Who fan for god knows how long.

Not a collector or member of a fan club, but have loved the show since it started way back..........

Saw Collectors on ABC to-night, featured a guy called Mark Damon, a Dr Who memorabillia collector.. got intersted and wanted to find out more and ended up here and saw your message.

Anyway long story short, as my wife is contining here rampage through my magazine and comic collection.  I have two Marvel Dr Who comics featuring Tom Baker from 1980, 1st and 2nd edition, "Dr Who & The Iron Legion", they are in a reasonable (well thumbed) condition, they cost me a $1 about 12 years ago in a 2nd hand book store.

I'm not sure if the are worth much or if  they where common, but I would rather see them go to a good home than  have my wife throw them out in a fit a cleaning, (she did that with my used chewing gum collection, just kidding by the way) would you or do you know anyone who would be interested ?

Anyway you can contact me by email at

nekron99@optusnet.com.au

cheers

Paul

Are you only after 1998-2004

I have everyone (I think) from 1989-1994 locked up in my mum and dad's shed in Port Pirie. Don't know what the quality is like haven't looked at them since 1999 and I know some of the earlier ones where chucked in the school bag to take to school LOL.

Cheers

Hi Jimmy,

Sounds cool, I will have to rescue my magazines from my dad's shed. What time do meetings at the High end? As I usually have some religious commitments that consume my attention until later evening on Saturdays.

(Hopefully I won't get too sentimental when I start rediscovering them all)

BTW on Ebay I saw some guy in Victoria is liquidating his Dr Who Collection, I hope to pick up the Colin Baker Years for a bargin ha ha !

Cheers

No, don't get sentimental at all - they're only Doctor Who magazines. They'll just collect dust, so you had better sell them to me!!!!

Seriously, if you want to part with them, let's do business.......

Our meetings usually go from 3pm to 10 pm - feel free to show up:

Most of us don't bite!!!!!!
