Subject:  Buckingham McArms????

06/01/2006 22:10 GMT

Hi People,

Just a few quick question.... where is the Buckingham McArms? And how does one identify the club members there? And what time does the meeting there usually finish? (can't make it until Sunset)

Not saying I can make it to the meeting, depends on the answers to the questions and the Mrs...... but always to good to have the knowledge up my sleeve to exercise it 'just in case' the opportunity arises

It's address is given as 1 Walkerville Tce, Walkerville, but it's easily recognizable as being on the corner of Walkerville and Northcote Terraces, near where the O-Bahn goes onto the tracks (city end). We typically book the largest table in the Bistro (it's been variously called 19, 20 and 21), but there isn't much chance of you missing us--we project fannishness.

After a 5 PM committee meeting (we believe in transparency) we fan around until about 9.30, and if we've got any stamina left go on to a coffee place, sometimes until the wee small hours!

It'd be awesome if you could show up, but if not c'est le vie.

Didn't make it.... DAMNIT Oh well!!!

My life is such a tangled web of intrigue and duty to so many masters trying to get out of the routine is difficult AHHHH!!!!

But this is why I love the website so much! I am a bit of a forum junkie, because I always have access to the net wherever I am, so I can always communicate via it.

And what makes the SFSA Forum so much more appealing than all the big US ones is that there is an opportunity not just to discuss ideas online, but also the possibility to meet the people in person to discuss all the important topics like whether Davros would beat the Master in an arm wrestle????

BTW, get onto all the other members that use to post regularly on here and get them to come back I see the names Tareth and Jetsear appear regularly in the past.... but not today

Firstly we must find an appropriate bait? What is to the Presidents liking?

By the way, I will be able to attend this weekend's meeting with the magazines, about 8:45-9:00pm. Will anyone still be there???

Maybe with the bait of the CF 57 and NewsSheet I have someone may still be around at that time Maybe even the Grand Lord President will escape his hovel

Cheers

Oh, yeah, we'll still be there.

It's usually slow for a couple of hours from three, we get a bit of a crowd around the dinner break (about six), and sometimes people don't want to go after the evening screening/chat fest so we end up going on to some place for coffee.

You've got the wrong bait for the current prez...

Not too familiar with Father Ted Mr President. But, I did look it up and this is what I found

"Father Jack spends most, if not all of his time sitting in his chair yelling "FECK! ARSE! DRINK! GIRLS!" or telling everyone to "FECK OFF!!"

Finally, the Achilles has been found.... now how to exploit it?
