Subject:  Return of Star Trek Cons

26/05/2004 08:32 GMT

For those of you not in the know.  There are to be two Star Trek conventions here in Adelaide this year.  With maybe a third at the end of theyear/beginning of the next.

Marina Sirtis is coming here with Venture Events (from Brisbane) - www.ventureevents.com.au - and it will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre in September, book at Bass.

Aaron Eisenberg (I think this is the guest) is attending a Con at the Adelaide Museum in November courtesy of 'The United Federation of Planets' club who will also have a display at the Museum at this time.

There is a third group about to set up a con here in Adelaide called 'First Contact Conventions' - www.firstcontactconventions.com.au - but I don't know the exact details yet.

Yeah gads, it never rains, it pours!!!

I visited Stuarts club on Sunday.  We need a kitchen so we can heat up party pies and sausage rolls.

The only bad thing is that his club has more stairs than ours.

I have always said that if you want "first contact" you should come to Adelaide.

Haven't had anyone I know die, mutate, or get trapped in a netherworld in a transporter accident yet!

Bester would have to be the killer, Chekov would be the young dective and  Trask from Diagnosis Murder would be the older dective.

Leonard Nimoy was a sweet young thing in The Man from Uncle, and in Transformers.

How about all the captains from Star Trek, each one playing a different character, who would they play?
