Subject:  Doctor Collingwood

An episode of The Science Show on the "look" of Doctor Who, one comment claims he's "probably modeled on an Oxford don from pre-WWII England about 1932 and possibly a bit like historian HG Collingwood." I'll assume this is a reference to RG Collingwood, a philosopher and historian who existed, as opposed to HG, who may not.
What do you think?
