He was the same person doing the same things in the '90s--have you seen Dimensions in Time?

Was that the woeful Children In Need thing Martin?

If so, then that was rubbish, what a waste of time and talent.

A great shame that the planned 30th anniversary story never got made.

Atlhough I heard that was due to Phillip Segal objecting to it and wanting to do his eventual Dr Who movie.

Anyone heard anything other than this?

Yes--part one Children in Need 1993, part two Noel's House Party.

No, I don't know why The Dark Dimension was shelved, but there was somehting like five different parties seeking the rights to The Show at the time. For a confusing experience I recommend The Nth Doctor.

News has been made that the true original Star Wars films are finally coming out on dvd - the ones that weren't tinkered with by Lucas, and the ones we all saw as kids.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Does anyone actually like the re-mixed versions from a few years back, or the original ones from over 25 years ago?

Personally I think it's a case of Lucas double dipping into his franchise to increase dvd sales...but that would be cynical wouldnt it???????

Comments?

I don't think anyone except Lucas likes the altered versions--and there's differences between the cinema and home releases!

Sorry, that was a typo--"I don't think anyone should like them, or the original releases." OK?
