With the two Auton stories out ahead it's possible they'll be facing off in the next table...

Terror of the Zygons vs The Abominable Snowmen.

The Android Invasion vs The Ark in Space.

Now we're getting to the hard stuff.......

From what I've seen of The Abominable Snowmen, it looks like a fantastic story, and a classic.  On the other hand I love Terror of the Zygons, one of the best 4th Doc stories.

I'll go for Terror of the Zygons, only because I know it better and have fond memories of watching it as a kid.

Again, I love The Android Invasion and The Ark in Space in equal measure.

I'll pick Ark in Space, because it had great set design and also the trio of Dr, Sarah and Harry were finally starting to become a real team.

I loved the Brain of Morbius but also enjoyed Caves as well.

I'll choose Caves, as it ended the 5th Drs era in fine style and saw the return of Robert Holmes in a well written story that had everything.

Ive seen the remaining episodes of Crusades and didn't really get into it that much, so I'll go for Claws of Axos, which was one of the memorable Pertwee stories.

I've always liked Claws, not everyone's favourite, and I suspect everyone would take Caves over Crusades!

The Curse of Peladon vs The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

Dalek Invasion of Earth was a good story, but let down by the production values.

So Curse of Peladon wins, because I loved the way that the Ice Warriors were made the good guys for a change.  The whole story was well constructed.

Deadly Assassin wins for sure.  For the first time, the Dr was alone and had to use his wits to get out of the battle with The Master, who was truly evil in that one.

This is tough...OK, if I buck this and go with Invasion,  Jimmy'll back me. Sorry, Curse!

I suspect he'll take Assassin over Child/Dances, however...

The End of the World was a pretty snappy little number.  A lot of fun.

I have seen the remaining episode of Evil of the Daleks, and I was pretty impressed with it.

Tough choice, but I'll go for Evil of the Daleks, because it looked as though it had the makings of a classic story.

The Faceless Ones looked ok too, from what Ive seen of it.  Pauline Collins would have made a fine companion.

However, I'll go with The Five Doctors, because it bought most of the Drs together, and the storyline could be enjoyed on its own merits, rather than being part of a season.

I'll agree with you; the potential of Evil is awesome! The Faceless Ones is fairly average, which isn't as good as the overfilled Five Doctors.

The Green Death vs The Hand of Fear.

The Highlanders vs The Invasion.

If they had to deal with giant green radioactive worms then they would have earnt there money no they just sat there waiting to be rescued.

Green Death and Hand of Fear, both stories featuring the departure of a long term companion...

I'll go for Green Death, because it represented the beginning of the end of the 3rd Dr era, and had a more interesting story than Hand of Fear.

The Invasion gets my vote.  That was the last good Cyberman story until Earthshock, as Revenge was awful.

The Green Death was fun and poor old  Hand of Fear is more silly than anything..

The Highlanders was OK, just not as god, epic, or pretty much anything as The Invasion.

The Invisible Enemy vs The Keeper of Traken.

The Leisure Hive vs The Macra Terror.

Keeper of Traken was the better of the 2.

It was a pivitol story, with the return of the Master and the introduction of Nyssa.  It also marked the beginning of the end of the 4th Drs era.

The Leisure Hive also wins, as it marked the start of the JNT era (for better or worse), and revamped the series for the 80s

...whereas Invisible Enemy introduced K-9. Bleh.

Macra Terror isn't as bad as I thought, but it's no Leisure Hive--incidently, the WA Dr Who club call themseslves after the villains in this story--The West Lodge!

The Masque of Mandragora vs The Mind Robber.

The Moonbase vs The Mysterious Planet.

Very difficult.  I love Masque, but I also like Mind Robber.

Even though I think the Mind Robber is a very inventive story, I'll go for Masque, because of the location shooting and the plot.

Moonbase is definately better than Mysterious Planet.  Mysterious Planet was an awful story, even if it was written by Robert Holmes

I have the same problem! One thing I like about Masque is the Doctor's falibility (in bringing the helix to Earth). I'll go with you.

I was only looking at The Moonbase's telesnaps at the meeting on Saturday...

I can't bring myself to choose The Power of Kroll, it was such a lacklusture story from Robert Holmes - even he hated it.

So I'll go for Reign of Terror, despite the fact that I haven't seen it.

Again, I didn't like The Ribos Operation much, so I'll go for The Romans.

The Key to Time season didn't really work as well as it should have I think.

Reign of Terror and Romans are good choices; all you can really say is wrong with them is Reign is drawn out, and some would dislike the comedy in Romans.

The Sea Devils vs The Seeds of Doom.

The Sontaran Experiment vs The Space Museum.
