Science Fiction

Leaked!
08/03/2005 13:23 GMT

Posted by Martin

An entire episode of the new series of Doctor Who has been leaked onto the internet.

The first episode of the new series, Rose, has apparently been pirated. It is not known if this is the complete edit, or how this came about. Coming three weeks ahead of its rumoured broadcast date, this is probably quite frustrating to the production team. Read the BBC's press release http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4326005.stm.

'Aint it Cool' website posted some scathing reviews. While I must confess I take this site with a pinch of salt, some of the comments raise concern. Low production values and dodgy scripting were mentioned. As these are the two main things that this new series promised to rectify you could have knocked me over with a feather!

Dear Dougo, Any thing which draws fire is probably worth checking for yourself! As for access, we have a number of technical experts who could answer your acces question at the next meeting (March 19th, Adelaide High School). Not that we'd advocate particpating. At all.

Thanks Martin I might just do that. It would be good to meet other fans face to face. My kids think Im a sad old git (lol). ANY new Doctor Who is better than none, regardless of percieved quality. Personally I can't wait (already contacting friends in UK with vcrs) and based on the glimpses I've seen, have high (but not unrealistic) hopes for a good show. What impresses me most is the aim of the producers to make the good Doctor a mainstream success, not just a cult hit. Cheers
