Posted by Martin

Horizon has announced the death of Peter Tuddenham on Monday July 9 2007.

Peter Tuddenham was born on the 27th of November 1918 (some sources give 1920 or 1922). He went into repertory theatre, entertaining during the second world war as part of "Stars in Battledress". After the war he moved into radio, then in the 1960s television. By the 1970s he'd found his forte as a voice artist, working as a dialect coach, appearing three times as mysterious voices in Doctor Who and then being cast as Zen, Orac and Slave in Blakes 7. After the end of this show, he returned for spoof Blake's Junction 7, radio play The Syndeton Experiment and audios Occam's Razor and Death's Head.
Horizon are preparing a tribute, more information at http://www.horizon.org.uk/news.php.
