Peter Haining 1940 -- 2007

Author and anthology editor Peter Haining died of a heart attack on November 19th, 2007.

Haining produced many books about Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes and James Bond, and his anthology Mammoth Book of Modern British Ghost Stories is forthcoming.
He was 67.

I found Haining's 25th Anniversary Dr Who book to be reasonably engrossing.

I find it interesting that he wrote books on Who, Holmes and Bond, as there are quite a lot of links between all 3 franchises.

Far too many to list now, but I think the demise of any good writer is sad due to not only their deaths but the deaths of their ideas.
