Series four ends in the UK as it begins in Australia--to excellent ratings. We would like to emphasize this site is spoiler free.

Overnight figures have Voyage of the Damned getting almost one and a quarter million viewers; final figures will show if this has beaten the 2005 premier to be the highest rating episode of Doctor Who in Australia.

It seems that Doctor Who smashed Big Brother in its time slot

I enjoyed Voyage of the Damned a lot.

It was more co-herent and less frantic than the previous Xmas specials and well acted by everyone - including ur'Kylie.

Fingers crossed Season 4 lives up to this ep.....

Way too much Donna. We're supposed to end up caring for her, my attitude is "Make me!". I shudder to imagine what a multi million viewership will think of Partners in Crime.

OK, "Partners in Crime" may not exactly be a sci-fi classic, but it had my kids rolling around the floor in hysterics........and as for Donna, DONT BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE RUBBISH....shes turning out to be the best companion by far of new Who.

Week two and the sky has fallen!

No, not really. Overnight figures have the News at 1,227,000, followed by Partners in Crime at 1,112,000 and A Noble Return at 921,000. So if Voyage didn't hold the record then Partners would be a contender, and even the ratings for the first Confidential Cut Down would be a respectable figure for a Saturday episode. So far, so good.

Partners in crime was pretty good.

I loved the villain, very much traditional British 'school marm type'.

I found the 'fat creatures'to be a bit too much on the cute side - I would have preferred to see them as little devils or something more sinister.

Donna wasn't too unbearable in this one - fingers crossed she doesn't cross the line in later stories.....

Fires of Pompeii came 9th of the day with overnight figures of 1,101,000 with Confidential not far behind at 15th on 875,000.

Weekly figures give Partners in Crime 43rd highest for the  week ending Saturday July 12th.
